One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to post more to my blog.
Not really. I don’t do New Year’s Resolutions (although I am a big believer in setting a theme for the year, a word or two that sums up my intentions for how I want to grow). I also know that most blogs start every post by apologizing for how long it’s been since the last post, and I don’t intend to do that here any more than I have to.
But, what I do want to do, as I enter this little research phase inspired by my last piece on permacomputing, is share some links to cool stuff I’ve been reading, whether or not any of it is actually related to that reading. I’m going to try to do this every Friday.
Five Friday links
bflat - C# as you know it but with Go-inspired tooling
As somebody whose day job involves working with C# developers (but not really writing any C#, though I have done it on occasion), I found this really interesting.
I was there to inflict death
Christian Lorenzen on the new Cormac McCarthy novels in the London Review of Books. One of my favorite literary critics.
The 68000 Wars, Part 2: Jack is Back!
Everyone has probably already read this series but I’m working my way through it and thought this was great.
Is it a real Commodore 64 if it’s made from replacement parts? That’s basically what the Space Shuttle Endeavour was, if we’re being honest. (True story. It was made out of leftovers from the construction of Atlantis and Discovery.)
Are You An Anarchist? The Answer May Surprise You!
(The answer did not surprise me.)
